Our Vision

Literacy is foundational to opportunity—and AI can help expand access, personalize instruction, and support educators in new ways. Rethinking Reading is a learning initiative focused on how emerging AI technologies can help educators, communities, and caregivers improve literacy outcomes for kids who need it most.

  1. Who is this initiative for?
    This initiative is designed for educators, literacy specialists, school and district leaders, caregivers, and anyone interested in using AI to improve literacy—especially in underserved communities.

  2. Do I need prior experience with AI to participate?
    Not at all. Our sessions are beginner-friendly and designed to introduce practical, accessible ways to use AI tools in educational contexts.

  3. How can I register for the workshops?
    You can register through our Registration Portal here. All upcoming sessions are listed with dates and descriptions.

  4. Will workshop recordings be available?
    Yes. Recordings and supporting materials will be made available in the Resources section of the site after each session.

  5. Is there a certificate of completion?
    We’re currently developing a credentialing strategy that may include digital badges or CPD credits. Stay tuned!
  6. What kind of tools or technology will we explore?
    We introduce a variety of AI tools—ranging from content generators to adaptive reading assistants—all evaluated for relevance, equity, and accessibility in K–12 learning environments.

  7. Is there a cost to participate?
    No. All workshops and resources are free, thanks to our funding and partner support.
