AI Fundamentals for Public Safety
Led by: Mark Genatempo
This foundational session will introduce law enforcement and public safety professionals to the core concepts of Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on applications in policing. Participants will learn to distinguish between generative AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics, and explore how these technologies work in practice in a law enforcement and public safety context. Designed as an accessible entry point, the workshop will clarify key terminology and functions, and lay the groundwork for understanding more advanced and policy-oriented sessions later in the series.
