InnovateUS provides no-cost at-your-own-pace and live learning on data, digital, innovation, and AI skills for public service professionals like you.

Governed by a coalition of public sector learning and innovation leaders across the United States, our curriculum gives you the skills to deliver more effective, equitable and engaged policies and services.

InnovateUS is brought to you by a team at The Governance Lab. We maintain full and sole control over writing, editing, and creation of InnovateUS course and workshop content, without influence from our generous funders.

Our learning resources are for public service professionals by public service professionals and emphasize evidence-based, participatory, and collaborative approaches.

We offer free:

Introduces the concept of problem definition, why it matters, and teaches viewers how to effectively define a problem, including developing a hypothesis, defining root causes, and reframing the problem.

Solution identification

Provides an overview of the tools and methods available to government to address public problems.

Implementation

Introduces the benefits of partnerships in implementing projects, goes over the how-to's of partnership and collaboration with accompanying practical worksheets and guidance, and lays out the challenges of partnerships and how to mitigate them.

Evaluation

Uses rigorous evaluation to improve state and federal government operations, policies, and programs.
