Building AI With Your Workforce: Workers as Co-Designers

Even with trust and governance in place, many agencies still design and deploy AI tools without ever bringing frontline workers into the actual development process. This closing workshop explores what it looks like to go a step further: treating workers not just as stakeholders to consult, but as co-designers with real influence over how tools are built and implemented. Speakers will share frameworks and examples for involving frontline staff throughout the design and rollout process, so that the resulting tools reflect the realities of the job and the judgment of the people doing it.
