Human in the Loop: Keeping People at the Center of AI
Led by: Sonita Singh
Artificial intelligence can support government work, but it cannot replace human judgment, accountability, or public values. This workshop explores what it means to “keep a human in the loop” in the public sector. Participants will define their role in guiding AI systems, ensuring outputs are accurate, context-aware, and trustworthy. With practical examples, the session highlights how to supervise and train AI tools so they assist effectively while preserving human oversight.
This workshop is designed for public sector professionals at all levels of government, as well as anyone interested in learning how to integrate AI responsibly into decision-making and service delivery while keeping human judgment at the center.
