Through its AI Case Inventory and Gemini pilot, Colorado has developed a model that prioritizes ethical AI practices while addressing the unique challenges of public sector implementation. The session will highlight how InnovateUS training laid the foundation for this initiative, with ongoing reinforcement based on NIST’s ethical AI principles, including accountability, transparency, fairness, and bias mitigation.
