Innovating in the Public Interest: Growing
Led by: Anita McGahan
It’s counterintuitive, but many projects fail during the growth stage. Problems can arise when new stakeholders aren’t integrated effectively, when expectations outpace capacity, or when expansion moves beyond the initiative’s original public mission. In this session, we will talk about what it takes to grow responsibly while protecting the integrity of public-sector initiatives.
- Scale Responsibly – Learn how to expand initiatives while maintaining alignment with public values and ensuring long-term sustainability.
- Integrate New Stakeholders – Develop strategies to onboard new partners effectively and preserve the integrity of public-sector initiatives.
- Manage Growth Risks – Recognize when to slow down or decline expansion opportunities to prevent mission drift and resource strain.
