Using Source-Grounded AI to Turn Sources into Presentation, Video, and Oral Communications

Led by: Deborah Stine

Research has an impact only when it is organized clearly and communicated effectively. This session focuses on using source-grounded AI to prepare and deliver presentations and other forms of oral communication for settings such as town halls, city council meetings, and internal briefings.

Using their own uploaded materials, participants will learn how to use NotebookLM to generate structured slide outlines, create audio overviews (podcast-style summaries), and develop content that translates written analysis into clear, engaging narratives.

Through live examples and guided practice, participants will learn how to use selected materials to produce presentation-ready outputs, as well as audio and video-style content that supports stakeholder communication, internal planning, and team decision-making.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Generate structured slide outlines from source-based analysis to support live presentations

  • Create audio overviews to clarify key messages and explore multiple perspectives

  • Develop presentation narratives tailored to specific audiences (such as policymakers, community members, or internal teams)

  • Use AI-generated outputs to prepare for briefings, Q&A sessions, and public engagement
