Building Better City Services UX Strategy, Practice, and Talent
About the Series
Better city services start with better user experience. This three-part series, in collaboration with U.S. Digital Response, helps city government leaders understand how UX strategy, practice, and talent can improve the design and delivery of public services.
The series is designed to help city government leaders understand how user experience (UX) practices can improve the way public services are designed and delivered. Sessions will be led by industry experts with experience in both the private sector and government, bringing real-world insights on how user-centered design can help governments create services that are easier to access, more effective, and more responsive to community needs.
Each virtual session will include guided instruction and time for discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and learn from peers across other governments. The goal is to equip city government staff with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen both their UX capabilities and their approach to building modern, user-focused teams.
For city teams participating in the learning sessions, tailored office hours with U.S. Digital Response offer an opportunity for more focused support. Teams are encouraged to apply for guidance on a specific service project, team challenge, or approach to building user-centered practices and internal UX capacity. Teams that complete the interest form will be contacted directly by the USDR team.
