Exploring the Potential of AI for Government Procurement Processes
Led by: Dan Chenok
Join us for this 90-minute workshop with Dan Chenok, Executive Director of the IBM Center for The Business of Government, where participants will learn how procurement officials in government can apply AI to do market research, develop templates based on experience, outline particular clauses that can achieve the mission goals of the procurement, and more.
- Discuss the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for addressing some of the challenges in government procurement processes, including inflexibility, complexity, and long lead times between agency idea to contract award
- Learn how procurement officials in government can apply AI to do market research, develop templates based on experience, outline particular clauses that can achieve the mission goals of the procurement, and more
- Hear about how companies competing for work from the government can use AI to search for opportunities of relevance more accurately, draw on large volumes of data that can help frame a best-value solution, and incorporate compliance into their bids – which in turn can facilitate review by the government.
- Learn from case studies based on research by the IBM Center for The Business of Government and hear recommendations for when and how to apply AI in supporting procurement – from market research to contract award
